It is with great sadness we share with you the news of the passing of fellow CSBL member Bob Gregware.

BOB GREGWARE

Bob Gregware of Ninth Avenue in Lansingburgh, beloved husband of 36 years to Debbie Morine Gregware of Lansingburgh, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, April 25, 2015 surrounded by and in the loving comfort and care of his family. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Robert W. Gregware, Sr. and the late Helen Crump Roy. He was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School, Class of 1972. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran and received an Expert (Rifle) Medal. Bob began his career in 1985 at the Watervliet Arsenal, where he was a Machinist. As of the last five years, he was a Quality Control Inspector. Bob was also known to many as “Pitbull” as well as “Bobby Beltloops”. He was a member of the Colonie Senior Over 50 Basketball League, always enjoyed playing softball, coaching his children as well as others where he made sure that everyone got to play, annually spending time with the crew in Cape Cod, impressing everyone while diving at the Knickerbacker Pool, playing “rummy,” travelling and was an avid Yankees, Celtics and Raiders fan. Bob always would take whatever time was needed to teach someone the task at hand. Bob served as an inspiration to many of those who knew him and also enjoyed spending time with and watching the focus and determination of his great nephew Jeffrey Hoffman. Beloved husband of Debbie, devoted father of Laurol L. (Justin) Bartlett of Rotterdam and Robert W. “Bobby” Gregware, III of Troy, brother of Michael (Cathy) Gregware of Lansingburgh, Edward (Rachel) Gregware of Newark, DE and the late Pamela Gregware and the late Jerry Roy, friends forever with Al and Lynn Cerulli of Boca Raton, FL, also survived by his grand-puppy, Buddy, family and friends. Funeral will be held Friday morning at 11:15 a.m. from the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home,

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment with military honors will be held in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Bob’s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude and thanks to the Samaritan Hospital ICU staff, in particular, Jesse, who helped him pass with dignity, as well as to all of their family, and friends
