Our next octogenarian is Jay Campbell, 84. Jay played basketball, baseball, tennis, and cross country locally at Waterford High School. Jay then served in the Marine Corps before returning to the area where he continued participation in local sports. He has played for 29 years in the Clifton Park Senior Softball league as an outfielder and in 2013 was inducted into their Hall of Fame. He has played in the CSBL for 28 years and currently plays for Barclay Damon. He has played in the NY State senior games in basketball and softball and played basketball at the National Senior games in Utah. Jay worked for the NY State Police for 30 years and worked his way up to Director of Information Services. He has 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. Congratulations Jay. Don’t stop playing.
