Wayne is the youngest member of our active octogenarian group at 81. He is on the sub list this season because he spent September on a riverboat cruise in Europe-a vacation that was postponed several time by covid. He attended Mt Pleasant High School in Schenectady where he was an offensive end on the football time. He spent many years as a traveling salesman before establishing his own handyman business. He played for many years in the Schenectady City Basketball League before joining the CSBL. His favorite memory of the CSBL was in his early years when he hit a key shot at the end of a game to put his team ahead and give a rare defeat to a Hawk Taylor team in a championship game. Wayne is in the top 10 on the CSBL leader boards in several categories including most 2 point baskets, games played, and personal fouls. He has participated in many state and national senior basketball tournaments.
