It is with great sadness we share with you the news of the passing of fellow CSBL member Eddie Moore.

EDDIE MOORE

Edward W. Moore, Sr., 72, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 1, 2015 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the Late Rev. Nelson Sylvester and Juanita (Williams) Moore. Edward served as a Sargent in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1981 after 20 years of dedicated service. Following his military career, he moved to Schenectady and attended Hudson Valley Community College, earning an Associate’s Degree. Edward retired from the Watervliet Arsenal at the age of 55. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing league basketball at the Clifton Park YMCA.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was predeceased by his son, Edward W. Moore, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Latisha Moore Loncke and her husband Paul; sisters, Gloria J. Crumbley and Mary Jane Moore; and his three grandchildren, Etana, Emeni and Elise. Edward is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11am at Light’s Funeral Home, 1428 State St., Schenectady. Interment with full ilitary honors will follow the service at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY
