Barclay Damon
We are all very grateful to Ned Trombley for being a league sponsor for over 12 years. Ned is a lawyer at the firm of Barclay Damon, which has 350 lawyers with offices in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Boston, New Haven, and New York City. The Albany office has 45 lawyers. Ned still works full-time and practices transactional law that focuses primarily on commercial real estate sale, purchase, leasing, and lending.
Ned played in the CSBL from 2000-2011 and started the sponsorship while he was a player. Ned retired from the league and gave up basketball in 2011 with the familiar issue of bad knees. Ned decided to continue with the sponsorship after leaving the league because he loved playing in the league. He was grateful for the opportunity the league gave him and wanted to continue to be a part of the league and Pay It Forward by providing the same opportunity that he enjoyed to current and future senior players. Even though Ned’s knees no longer allow him to play basketball or run marathons, he remains active with golf and biking in the true spirit of the senior athlete-keep moving and never give up.
