Good afternoon, CSBL Members!
With the current state of Covid-19, the phased re-opening of businesses and the prospects of the future of Covid-19: how it effects our lives in the short and near term as well as the prospect of a vaccine, we felt it appropriate to send out a questionnaire to our members to gauge your interest in participating in the 2020/2021 Season, and your opinions on what that season should look like.
Currently our board is working to understand where our league would play and when we could begin play. After much discussion on this matter in our recent board meeting we felt September might be too soon, and that an abbreviated season could possibly start in January with an 8 to 10 game regular season and three week post season, ending with a banquet in April. Of course, this is very preliminary, and we want to get your feedback. Please answer these six questions as honestly as you can based on how you feel today. It’s important we get your feedback, and we will reply within a couple weeks with the results of the survey.
PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING SIX QUESTIONS BASED ON: 1) the league would be revising the registration form adding language that says the member holds the CSBL and the gym harmless in the event the member contracts Covid; 2) the league would maintain your seniority date (no negative effect) for a full year if you opted to not play in 2020/2021; and 3) the league would modify the 2020/2021 Dues fee based on this upcoming seasons financial realities that would include: a shortened season; a surplus of cash in our account due to the cancellation of last year’s last four weeks and banquet, and the possible added expense for a different gym venue and the possible added cost of insurance:

Question 3: Would you be willing to participate in an abbreviated CSBL season starting in January assuming the schools allowed us in and assuming there IS NOT A VACCINE for Covid-19?
Question 4: Would you be willing to participate in an abbreviated CSBL season starting in January assuming the schools allowed us in and assuming there IS A VACCINE for Covid-19?
Question 5: If you decided to sit out the 2020/2021 season due to Covid-19 would you RETURN TO PLAY in 2021/2022 assuming there IS A VACCINE?
Question 6: If we were able to secure a venue that would allow us to begin play in September would you be willing to participate in a FULL SEASON SCHEDULE assuming there is NOT A VACCINE for Covid-19?
