Blaise Agnew

Agnew, Blaise P. Sr. LATHAM Blaise P. Agnew, Sr., age 62, passed from this life at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. He fought a two and a half year courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Blaise is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Agnew; his daughter, Casey (CJ) Agnew of Latham; his son, Blaise P. Agnew Jr. (Brittany) of Latham; granddaughters, Elysha Casey and Autumn Rose; his “Big Man,” Simba; his mother, Carolyn E. Chabot of Latham; siblings, Walter Agnew (Rhonda) of Round Lake, Michael Agnew (Evelyn) of Delaware, Michele Agnew (Sherry Sawyer) of Clifton Park, and Marline Agnew (Gretchen Lynch) of Latham as well as several nieces and nephews. Blaise was a member of the graduating class of 1977 from Shaker High School. He was a hard worker and held several jobs in his younger years, but none could compare to his long-time association with ABC Supply Company. Blaise loved his job with ABC, working right up until this past August. He looked forward to going to work every day and felt honored to be associated with such an amazing company. He loved spending time with his immediate and extended family, whether it be holiday gatherings, family picnics or vacations to Rehoboth Beach, Del. Christmas was his favorite time of the year. He delighted in making other people happy by finding the perfect gift. Shopping for those treasures with his beloved wife Jackie was one of his greatest pleasures. Blaise also loved the simple pleasure of listening to Margaritaville Radio while sitting with Jackie in the evenings. He enjoyed cooking, especially on the grill or over an open fire and would often host the family for a last minute weekend meal. He was an avid sports fan; whether watching his Twins or Giants or actually getting out onto the field or court. He had a true zest for life and a “glass half full” attitude that he carried with him throughout his entire life.
