The last four months have been surreal, but perhaps with the NBA resuming play tonight, Thursday, July 30, we have reached the apex of our strange days and will be back to something resembling normal in four more months. Or, on the other hand, perhaps the Corona-groundhog will see his shadow and we will endure six more months of our social and economic winter. In either case I am committed to bearing through it with patience and grace toward my fellow sons and daughters of man, and toward myself. If only our leaders, on both sides of the aisle, could come together for the common good, then, as Sam Cooke sang, “what a wonder world it would be.”
